Hey y’all! It’s a happy Sunday and a happy first day of Spring!
Spring makes me think of blooming flowers, nesting birds, green growing things, and Easter! Spring also reminds me of pollen but that only means we always have to accept the bad to maybe slightly annoying with all the good! So much good!
Easter is definitely one of my favorite holidays because of its significance in the faith of believers, but I also love the “colors” of Easter … pastels and florals are everywhere and it’s all so very exciting and eye-candy-ish to folks like me! Unfortunately, all of the colors make me want to go buy more yarn, and this, in turn, makes my husband roll his eyes!

As Spring approaches, my hands begin to itch to make #allthethings in pastels, and one of my favorite things to crochet in this season are peeps. A favorite designer of mine is 3amgracedesigns, and their site is where I found the awesome pattern I use for peeps. It’s a huge hit every year, and I don’t ever plan to stop making them!
Another favorite designer is craftpassion on whose blog I found the super cute crocheted hippo and rhino patterns.
Yet another designer I adore is spin a yarn crochet where I have found so many patterns I want to make! Alas! I have a full-time professional career which means my crochet time is limited to evenings and weekends after making sure I have all of my “responsibilities” taken care of first. 🙂
Finally, there are my own designs which are generally done freehand with the excitement of “let’s see how this is going to turn out!” If something turns out amazingly, I might actually write the pattern. But I think there is so much talent in the field that writing patterns are not as important to me, when I can support my fellow crochet professionals.
